Lou
Reda Productions Honored with
Three
EMMY Nominations
EASTON, PA, July 18,
2005 – Lou Reda Productions continues its torrid streak of Emmy
nominations. The Easton, Pennsylvania
powerhouse garnered three out of the fourteen nominations received by the
History Channel.
In the Outstanding
Historical Programming Long Form category Reda is nominated for its
stirring The Last Day of World War I: 11th Month, 11th
Day, 11th Hour. The
show is a moving adaptation of the best-selling book by Joseph Persico (Random
House) detailing the mindless last-day sacrifice of troops, as fighting on the
front continued for six senseless hours after the armistice was signed.
Reda’s stunning Eyewitness in Iraq nails double
nominations, in the Outstanding Editing
and Outstanding Music and Sound
categories. The show is a raw,
unvarnished look at a frightening new kind of war, told entirely out of the
mouths and prize-winning photos of the combat photographers embedded with the
fighting units. Two of them have won
Pulitzers.
Reda Productions will be represented by Executive Producers
Lou and Scott Reda, Executive Editors Sammy Jackson and Tracey Connor,
Executive Writer Norman Stahl and Photo Consultant Hal Buell at the awards
ceremony to be held on September 19th.
